Telefonica , acquired by O2, has dedicated with great success to provide mobile internet services to the United Kingdom, Germany, The Czech Republic and Slovakia, broadening their horizons with special offers for ADSL internet services.
This grand multinational expands throughout several countries quickly and easily thanks to the quality of their services, enabling them to compete with other companies such as Orange, which dominate most areas in the telecommunication market. O2 puts at customer’s disposal (35 million) three plans with different services and prices allowing them to choose the one that suits their needs best.
These plans are divided into: Standard, Premium and Ultimate.
The Standard offers a more economical broadband ADSL plan of 8 MBs of speed, which is more than enough for home users.
The Premium package doubles the speed of the standard plan, reaching 16 MBs of speed and including 10 mailboxes.
Last but not least, the Ultimate package which delivers 20 MBs for those who wish to take full advantage of the web.
Even though O2 guarantees the quality of their services, some users have reported in forums and websites that the service is certainly not flawless, resulting in connection slowdowns and disconnects.
Another issues that O2 users have to deal with, are transfer speed issues which they claim as being notoriously slower than stated on the contract, as well as constant disconnects or modem resets. This is without a doubt a major concern since we are paying for a service that is not being properly provided.
Some of the issues cannot be solver since they’re related to the company itself, but still, you can perform a speed test, a tool that will basically test our upload and download speed and show the actual speed and performance of our ADSL connection. This speed test is the best way to ensure that you’re getting the speed you’re paying. Use our speed test and in a matter of seconds, you’ll know whether or not your internet service provider is cheating your speed.
